It’s essential to support organizations that prioritize the most vulnerable. Despite the many social and political advances in the LGBTQ+ community, our youth continue to be subject to bullying, isolation and an increased risk of suicide.  As adults who have benefited greatly from these recent positive changes, we must not lose sight of the inherent difficulties that young LGBTQ+ face. Yes, it’s wonderful that I’m able to legally marry my husband, and be able to parent two wonderful children, but the fight is not over. Live Out Loud meets kids where they need to be met, in their schools. The mentorships and role modeling are so important. Middle school and high school can be brutal when you feel like you don’t fit in…Live Out Loud offers tangible examples of healthy adult LGBTQ+ relationships and life experiences that these students can connect with, and aspire to.

My family is proud of the fact that we have been monthly donors for over 10 years. One-time donations are important of course, but being a Cornerstone Member allows us to fully embrace our long-term commitment to Live Out Loud, WITHOUT having to remember to write a check!
